I got a homebrew kit for Christmas this year and I can’t wait to get started brewing! I have a couple recipe kits in the mail for a Juniper Rye Ale, a American Red Ale, and aWinter Warmer Ale. I ordered the first two from Austin Homebrew Supply and the last one from Mountain Homebrew. My kit came from Midwest Supplies, which also looks pretty good. The nice thing about Austin is that they have a flat $6.99 shipping charge; shipping from Mountain was pretty expensive.
I’ve been pretty obsessed the last few days reading everything I can from the forums over at Home Brew Talk.
My brother also got a kit for Chirstmas, so it will be cool to see what we both come up with. He’s planning on getting started with his first batch tomorrow. I’ll have to wait a few days for the UPS guy.
